HabitGrip LLC ("HabitGrip," "we," "our," or "us") operates the HabitGrip mobile application (the "App") for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. If you sign in using a third-party OAuth provider (such as Google or Apple), we receive your name and email address from that provider. We do not collect your phone number, physical address, or government-issued identifiers.
b. User-Generated Content
We store the habits, tasks, goals, tags, and related data you create within the App. This data is stored on your device and, if you enable cloud sync, on our servers so it can be accessed across your devices.
c. Usage and Analytics Data
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as screen views, feature usage frequency, session duration, device type, operating system version, and app version. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
d. Crash and Performance Data
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and performance diagnostics. This may include device state at the time of a crash, stack traces, device model, and operating system version. Crash data helps us identify and fix bugs.
e. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect precise geolocation data, contacts, photos, health data, financial information, or browsing history. We do not use device fingerprinting or tracking across other apps or websites.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features;
- Sync your data across devices when you enable cloud sync;
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account;
- Send transactional emails (e.g., password reset, email verification);
- Diagnose crashes, monitor performance, and fix bugs;
- Understand how the App is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising or behavioral profiling.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Google Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics. Firebase Privacy Information.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting and diagnostics. Firebase Privacy Information.
These services are operated by Google and are subject to the Google Privacy Policy. We do not share your habit or task data with these services — only anonymized analytics and crash diagnostics are transmitted.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. If you enable cloud sync, your data is also stored on our servers hosted in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account data and user-generated content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and user-generated content from our servers within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely. Backups containing your data may persist for up to 90 days after deletion before being purged.
6. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the App by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Deleting your account will permanently remove your profile, habits, tasks, and all associated data from our servers. Data stored locally on your device will also be cleared. This action is irreversible.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. 8. International Users
If you access the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where our servers are located. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate data;
- Request deletion of your data;
- Export your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent for data processing.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
