Support

HabitGrip is a calm, local-first habit and task tracker. If something is not working, or you have a question the answers below do not cover, we are happy to help.

Contact Us

Email [email protected]. We aim to reply within two business days. You can also reach us from inside the app: open Settings and use Contact Support, or Report a Bug if something is broken. It helps if you include your device model, the operating system version, and the app version shown under About.

Common Questions

I paid, but my purchase is not showing

Open Settings, tap Upgrade to Pro or Ultra, and tap Restore at the bottom of that screen. Make sure you are signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought with — purchases belong to that store account, not to your HabitGrip account.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

Ultra is billed by the app store you bought it from, not by us, so it is cancelled there. On iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play app and go to Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Pro is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel.

Do I need an account?

No. HabitGrip works fully offline and your data stays on your device. An account is only needed for cloud sync and cloud backup, which are part of Ultra. Signing in for a free account also adds an extra habit and task slot.

How do I get my data out?

Open Settings and use Download My Data to export everything, or Backup & Restore to create a backup file you can save, share, or restore later. Import Data brings data back in. There is no lock-in.

My habits are not syncing between devices

Cloud sync requires an Ultra subscription, and it has to be switched on and signed in on each device. Check that both devices are online and using the same account. Sync resolves conflicts by last writer wins, so the most recent change to a habit is the one kept.

I missed a day — did I lose my streak?

Streaks are a record of consistency, not a punishment. If you are going to be away, open Settings and turn on Vacation Mode to pause without breaking your streaks.

Widgets are not appearing

On iPhone and iPad, Home Screen widgets require iOS 17 or later. Three widgets are available for free and Pro unlocks all eight. If a widget shows no data, open the app once so it can refresh what the widget reads.

I have a code to redeem

Open Settings and use Redeem a Code.
